Yulia with her head coaches Artyom Sahakyan and Vladislav Reznik after winning one of her fights in New York.
Yulia started her fighting career in her hometown Saratov in 2009. At the time she was also an equestrian and her first sport was show jumping and dressage, but her plans changed.
In 2010 she won her first regional Championship hand-to-hand combat in Russia. Afterwards she immigrated to New York, and joined Lions Fight Martial school in Brooklyn.
After 2 years of training with head coach and gym owner Artyom Sahakyan she became US National Kickboxing Champion in her weight division and was selected to represent the US national team worldwide.
Over 5 years of her fighting career, she had 30 fights in the US and Europe in 2 different weight divisions. During her fighting career Yulia became co-owner and coach of Lions Fight gym in NYC.
In 2015 she fought in the famous boxing tournament Golden Gloves. In 2016 she had her first professional debut in Kickboxing in Manhattan Combat at PPV’s The Capitale promoted by 3x World Kickboxing Champion and movie actor Lou Neglia.
In 2019 she had her last fight at Madison Square Garden. During the pandemic Yulia moved to Miami and decided to focus only on building her coaching career. She has over 11 years of experience training men and women at all different levels and ages.
Yulia is well known in New York and Miami’s Jewish community as a personal trainer and school gym teacher in Yeshivas. She has experience working with injuries, pregnancies and postpartums. Yulia also teaches self-defense seminars for women.
